Overview and objectives
This one-day course teaches those features and functions of Windows
Vista that were not present in Windows XP. Students will learn how to work with
the Sidebar, control gadgets, perform content searches, and browse the Web with
Internet Explorer 7. They will also learn how to configure the Phishing Filter,
view an RSS news feed, use Windows Meeting Space, and scan for spyware. This
course is intended to accelerate the transition from Windows XP or Windows 2000.
Target audience
To get the most through this course, you should be comfortable using a
Windows PC. You will get the most out of this course if your goal is to
apply your existing skills to using Windows Vista. You will learn the
new features of Windows Vista, such as customizing Windows, browsing the
Internet with Internet Explorer 7, and collaborating with co-workers and
friends.
