This course is for new or users with little Excel experience. The course is designed to introduce the basic concepts of an excel spreadsheet. We look at spreadsheet terminology and become familiar with the Excel interface.


Delegates will learn to navigate worksheets and workbooks and how to get help when needed. They will learn to enter and edit text, values and formulas and to save their work and open other workbooks.


Delegates will also learn how to move and copy data on a wrksheet and between workbooks, as well as learning about absolute and relative references and their usage in formulas.


This course also covers simple functions like SUMm MAX, MIN and average as well as basic formatting techniques and printing.


Finally, delegates will learn how to create and format simple charts and learn how to handle large workbooks.
