The facilitator of this workshop has conducted research into the psychological or emotional effects of working remotely and is thus able to present a unique insight into this working pattern. Managing Deception at Work

Within a range of organisational environments, deception, its detection and management, can be an important contributor towards meeting key performance objectives and organisational goals. It is an acknowledged problem within some industries that customers do attempt to deceive in the hope of financial gain. Yet many attempts at detecting that deception are crude, intuition-based, often grossly inaccurate and, crucially, can offend and deter the honest customers rather than the dishonest ones.  The key to successful deception management then is in improved detection rates whilst not alienating the honest customer.

Impression Management at the Customer- Organisation Interface

Customers expect frontline employees to present a certain image and this usually means that the employee is expected to be cheerful, interested, concerned and friendly – or at least appear to be! It is unlikely that frontline employees will genuinely be able to meet these expectations at all times. This course shows you how to maintain that emotional front even when you don’t really feel the emotions that you are expected to display. Dr Sandi Mann’s book, Hiding What We Feel, Faking What We Don’t, is available with this course.
